Halloween - Pumpkin Carving

My this year's Halloween pumpkins.

I wasn't too sure about the second one. I had a "Scream" theme in mind. It didn't look too good in daylight...

... however,  it's awesome at night...

How to make your desk look "bizzare"....

(Source: leelacyd.com; Foto: Leela Cyd Ross)

In 4 steps to a bizzare desk:

  1. If you paint, take your paintings off the wall and place them under the desk against the wall. Now you can kick your feet against the paintings while you work and keep the wall from obtaining ugly stains.
  2. Take your favorite book and open it at your favorite page. Then use your favorite nailpolish to add some drawings to the pages. Fill out the rest of the pages with your favorite black felt-tipped pen. Apply plenty of glue to all pages except the two pages where the book has been opened. Now keep it open at an exact angle of 90° for 3 hours and voilá... you got a petrified book!
  3. From your next trip to Africa (or to the local Ethno store) bring back a scary wooden face mask and stick it to a leather witches-hat. And "bingo" ready is your... whatever...
  4. Last but not least (and this is only for the advanced self-proclaimed-interior-design-experts):
Tile the floor with plain/cheap terra-cotta tiles to create the pleasant reading-/working atmosphere of a suburban pizzeria
PS: Don't forget when taking a photo of your ingenious decorating work to include an indefinable turquoise thingy on the right-hand edge of the photo (to keep your readers guessing what it could be... sofa?)

Review: S09.E02 - Where there's Smoke

Where there‘s smoke

... there should be a fire...you'd think,  whereas this episode was more like a small puff of hot air.

Here‘s my thoughts on this week‘s episode.
