Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with Prawns

What we had for lunch today...


  • 3 - 4 cloves of garlic, sliced, or more to taste
  • 150 g prawns
  • 1/3 cup good olive oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  •  lemon pepper, sea salt
Bring 6 quarts of lightly salted water to a boil and add the spaghetti. Meanwhile, slice the garlic cloves, and sauté them in the oil until the garlic begins to brown. Turn off the heat (the garlic will continue to brown; you don't want it to overbrown and become bitter).

Add the prawns and sauté for 2 - 3 minutes.

When the spaghetti are done, drain them well, transfer them to a bowl, and stir the sauce into them. Add freshly ground lemon pepper and a pinch of sea salt.
