Fake Flames - art project aims to preserve historic buildings in Vancouver

I came across this very interesting art project by Isabelle Hayeur. She uses "fake flames" in an abandoned old town house to draw attention to a district in Vancouver where many old buildings are overlooked by developers and torn down.

It's amazing how realistic this looks.

To learn more about this project go here for the article. There's also a short video clip which will leave you speechless. Like I said, incredibly realistic flames. I wonder how many times the fire department had been called by passers-by.
